 Definition:

    verb.
  • Passive voice is a voice that indicates that the subject is the patient or recipient
    of the action denoted by the verb.

Example:

Active:
David is making coffee.

Passive:
Coffee is being made by David.

 

  1. Simple Past

Active:
David made coffee.

Passive:
Coffee was made by David.

 

  1. Past Progressive

Active:
David was making coffee.

Passive:
Coffee was being made by David.

 

  1. Present Perfect

Active:
David has made coffee.

Passive:
Coffee has been made by David.

 

  1. Past Perfect

Active:
David had made coffee.

Passive:
Coffee had been made by David.

 

  1. Future Simple

Active:
David will make coffee.

Passive:
